Description
These spooky spider hot dogs are a playful Halloween recipe with flaky crescent dough and savory hot dog centers. They’re quick, fun, and perfect for parties or family nights.
Ingredients
1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent rolls
8 hot dogs
2 tablespoons ketchup, or to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles by sealing perforations. Cut each into 2 long strips, for 8 strips total.
3. Cut three 2-inch slices into each end of hot dogs to create “legs.”
4. Wrap one dough strip around the center of each hot dog, leaving legs exposed.
5. Place hot dogs on ungreased baking sheet and bake 11 minutes, until golden.
6. Dot ketchup eyes on each spider with a chopstick. Serve with extra ketchup.
Notes
Use refrigerated crescent rolls for convenience.
Two ketchup eyes per spider are enough, but more can be added for fun.
Plastic toy spiders and Halloween props make serving festive.
Cut legs evenly so spiders bake neatly.
Store-bought crescent dough saves prep time.
