Description

A hearty, naturally sweetened breakfast made with oats, apples, and warm spices. Ideal for meal prep, it’s cozy, wholesome, and easy to customize.


Ingredients

2 cups old-fashioned oats

1½ cups milk (or almond milk)

1 large apple, diced

2 eggs

¼ cup maple syrup or honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla.

3. Stir in oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

4. Fold in diced apples and nuts if using.

5. Pour into prepared dish, spread evenly.

6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until top is golden and center is set.

7. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with yogurt, maple syrup, or fresh fruit.

To make vegan: use almond milk and flax eggs (1 tbsp flaxseed meal + 2.5 tbsp water per egg).

To make gluten-free: use certified gluten-free oats.

Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months. Reheat in microwave or oven.
