Description

A bold and flavorful summer slow cooker meal with garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and soy sauce. It’s easy to prep and perfect served over rice or lettuce wraps.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs beef chuck roast, thinly sliced

1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp sesame oil

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

1/2 cup beef broth

2 tsp cornstarch

2 tbsp water

Sesame seeds and green onions, for garnish

Steamed white rice, for serving

Instructions

1. Add sliced beef to the slow cooker.

2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and beef broth.

3. Pour mixture over the beef and stir to coat.

4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.

5. In the last 30 minutes, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce to thicken.

6. Serve over steamed rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

You can prep the sauce the night before to save time in the morning.

Try using lettuce cups instead of rice for a lighter version.

Add steamed broccoli or snap peas for a veggie boost.
