Description

These Halloween Rice Krispie treats are chewy, gooey, and decorated with candy eyes, green coating, and spooky stitched details. Perfect for parties or family fun!


Ingredients

6 cups rice krispie cereal

1 10oz bag mini marshmallows

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

10 oz green candy melts

3 oz black candy melts

Royal icing eyes

Black jimmies sprinkles


Instructions

1. Butter a 9×13-inch dish.

2. Melt butter in a large pot over low-medium heat.

3. Stir in marshmallows until smooth.

4. Mix in cereal and coat evenly.

5. Press mixture into the prepared dish and let set for 30 minutes.

6. Cut into rectangular bars.

7. Melt green candy melts over simmering water, thinning with shortening if needed.

8. Dip tops of bars into green candy melts, then into black sprinkles.

9. Add two icing eyes to each.

10. Melt black candy melts in microwave in 10-second bursts.

11. Transfer to piping bag and add stitched designs.

12. Let treats set completely before packaging or serving.

Notes

Use low-medium heat to prevent hard bars.

Avoid water contact when melting chocolate to prevent seizing.

Candy melts can be replaced with chocolate plus gel-based coloring.

Thin melted chocolate with shortening if needed.
