Spooky and cheesy Halloween breadstick bones shaped like bones, perfect for parties. Golden, bubbly, and fun to dip in marinara sauce.
Ingredients
All-purpose flour (for dusting)
1 pound pizza dough
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Let pizza dough come to room temperature.
3. Lightly flour a surface and divide dough into 10 equal pieces.
4. Roll each piece into an 8-inch rope, making the ends thicker.
5. Snip both ends about 1 inch deep and separate slightly to form a bone shape.
6. Arrange on baking sheets with space between.
7. Brush each with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan.
8. Bake for 15 minutes until golden and puffed.
9. Remove, add mozzarella, and bake another 5–7 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
10. Let cool slightly and serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
Letting dough warm to room temperature makes shaping easier and prevents tearing.
Use kitchen scissors for better bone shapes.
Freshly grated cheese improves flavor and texture.
Don’t overdo mozzarella to avoid sogginess.
Bake a day ahead and reheat in the oven for convenience.
