Description
Crispy, golden air fryer fried pickles made with tangy dill slices, crunchy panko coating, and a creamy dipping sauce. A quick and easy appetizer or snack!
Ingredients
1 cup sliced pickles (preferably dill)
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon hot sauce
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Dip (optional):
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup minced onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried dill (optional)
Instructions
1. Lay pickle slices on paper towels, pat dry with another towel.
2. Whisk together eggs, flour, hot sauce, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
3. Place panko breadcrumbs in a second bowl.
4. Dip each pickle slice in the egg wash, then coat with breadcrumbs.
5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
6. Arrange pickles in a single layer in the basket. Spray with oil.
7. Air fry for 5–7 minutes. Flip, spray again, and cook another 5–7 minutes until crispy.
8. Mix all dip ingredients in a small bowl. Chill if desired.
Notes
Drying the pickles is essential for a crispy coating.
Use thicker pickle slices to prevent sogginess.
Panko gives the crunchiest result, but regular breadcrumbs also work.
Serve immediately for best texture.
